Lists and Emphasis

Sample body text showing the formatting a post can use:

• a bullet list item
• a second item, slightly longer, so the wrapping is visible
• a third item

Numbered lists work the same way:

1. first step
2. second step
3. third step

Text can be bold for emphasis or italic for a quoted phrase. Both render inside the bubble without any extra work, and list markers pick up the muted colour so they sit behind the text rather than in front of it.
